Valorant 9.07: What's New in the Latest Update

The patch notes for the Valorant 9.07 update have been officially revealed by Riot Games, and fans are excited to know more about what the new patch will bring to the competitive shooter.

While the 9.07 Valorant patch doesn’t bring any major changes to the game, it does bring with it tons of bug fixes and overall improvements to the title.

Alongside the aforementioned changes, the new Valorant update also introduces some changes and fixes to the Premier game mode. 

Console players will be able to notice new text and visual descriptions for their “aim curve” settings options, and some fixes to the competitive mode.

ALL PLATFORMS

AGENT UPDATES

  • Agent ability projectiles, walls, and AOEs have been updated to have more consistent audio presentation when clipping/passing through Astra’s Cosmic Divide
  • Placeable abilities like Cypher’s Spycam can no longer be placed in the space above a rising Sage Barrier Orb

PROGRESSION UPDATES

  • Basic Training Event Milestone 3 objectives have been changed.
    • Before:
      • PRACTICE: Practice in The Range
      • PRACTICE: Complete a Shooting Test
    • After:
      • STRATEGY: Defuse 5 Spikes as a Team
      • STRATEGY: Plant 5 Spikes as a Team
    • Rewards & XP gain amount unchanged

BUG FIXES

Agents

  • Neon
    • Fixed a bug where Neon utilizing backwards slide inputs could slide while standing

Maps

  • Abyss
    • The wall collision has been updated to prevent Agents from accessing an out of bounds area on top of A Site.
    • The Spawn Barriers have been updated to prevent Cypher’s Cyber Cage from landing on top of the barrier.
  • Bind
    • Vyse’s Arc Rose ability can no longer flash through foliage in Attacker Side Cave.
  • Lotus
    • Fixed a bug where you can avoid taking damage by standing behind the hanging foliage on A Site.
  • Pearl, Fracture
    • Fixed a bug where Ground effects from Agent abilities would not appear on glass floors.
  • Piazza
    • Wall mounted Agent abilities can now be placed on the Crown Coffee building.

PC

PREMIER UPDATES

  • We’ve updated Best of 1 playoff brackets and match history with a new visual style!
  • In Contender and Invite divisions, match history now groups games in a Best of 3 matchup together under one heading.

BUG FIXES

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

  • Fixed an issue where Match History would show duplicate modes in the filter dropdown.

PREMIER UPDATES

  • Fixed an issue in Contender and Invite divisions where your team’s rank on your roster list would incorrectly display as 275 until you played a match.
  • Fixed an issue where the schedule had overlapping text in some languages.

SOCIAL UPDATES

  • Fixed an issue with the Block Player feature where you could block players while in match and bypass the Hide My Riot ID Setting.

KNOWN ISSUES

PREMIER UPDATES

  • Best of 1 playoff matchups incorrectly display Best of 3 as their match type in Premier match history.

CONSOLE

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Added new text and visual descriptions for “aim curve” settings options.
  • Combined similar Smooth and Standard aim curves – if you had the Smooth curve selected, you will now have the Standard curve instead.

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

  • You can now enable and disable your previous act rank triangle in the Act Rank page.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where the MVP screen was displayed after a Deathmatch game.
  • Fixed a visual issue where players would sometimes see an incorrect rank when joining a party queued up for Competitive.
  • Fixed an issue you would see the option to enable and disable your own act rank when viewing a friend’s career

KNOWN ISSUES

PLAYER BEHAVIOR UPDATES

  • When you report and select to also mute that player, sometimes the player remains unmuted until you try to mute again.
