Deadlock Valorant Release Date For All Regions

The world of Valorant is bracing for a new addition to its roster. From the frosty landscapes of Norway, the Sentinel Agent known as Deadlock is gearing up to make her debut. The excitement around Deadlock’s release has been building up for a while now, with Riot Games strategically releasing numerous teasers featuring popular characters like Sova and Cypher. Despite an unintended leak of her look and abilities on Twitter, the official reveal has generated considerable buzz amongst the players.

In response to the leak, Riot Games decided to unveil Valorant’s newest Agent ahead of schedule, releasing a captivating gameplay trailer that showcased Deadlock’s abilities and their potential impact on gameplay. The reveal has left players eagerly anticipating when they will finally be able to play as Deadlock.

When does Valorant’s new Agent Deadlock release for all regions?

As per the official announcement, Deadlock will be joining Valorant’s character lineup from Episode 7 Act 1, which is slated for release on either June 27 or 28, 2023, depending on the player’s region. Riot Games has also provided an extensive list of timings for server maintenance leading up to Patch 7.0 to help players navigate the somewhat confusing patch drop schedule:

  • Asia Pacific: June 27, 2023, at 14:00 PT.
  • Brazil: June 27, 2023, at 06:00 PT.
  • Europe: June 27, 2023, at 20:00 PT.
  • Korea: June 27, 2023, at 14:00 PT.
  • Latin America: June 27, 2023, at 06:00 PT.
  • North America: June 27, 2023, at 06:00 PT.

Given that a new Episode is launching, expect the server downtime to last between two and four hours. Once the servers are back up and running, players will be able to delve into Episode 7 Act 1, experience the newly introduced progression system, and unlock the Agents in a novel way.

So, what can players expect from Deadlock’s abilities in Valorant? Here is a quick rundown:

  • Sonic Sensor (Q): This ability allows Deadlock to deploy a sensor that monitors an area for noise and concusses it if significant sound is detected.
  • GravNet (C): Deadlock can throw a GravNet grenade that detonates upon landing, forcing any enemies caught within to crouch and move slowly.
  • Barrier Mesh (E): Deadlock can launch a disk that generates barriers upon landing, blocking character movement.
  • Annihilation (X) / Ultimate: Deadlock equips a Nanowire Accelerator and releases a pulse of nanowires that captures and pulls the first enemy hit along a path. The enemy will perish if they reach the end of the path unless they are freed. The nanowire cocoon can be destroyed.

As the Valorant community awaits Deadlock’s release with bated breath, one thing is for certain: the battlefield is about to get a lot more interesting.
