Riot Games have recently released a post on the official X handle, giving us a glimpse of the direction they are planning for our beloved first-person shooter – Valorant. They also announced a new executive producer to guide them further. Keep reading to know more.
In a post shared on their official X handle on May 21, Riot Games introduced Andy Ho as their new executive producer. Andy Ho is not new to the organization as he has been a Senior Director of Game Direction since April 2021. Andy has been a part of Riot Games since 2009. In a 1 year sabbatical Andy took from Riot Games during 2016-2017, he worked on Product Insights at Phoenix Labs.
While the previous Executive Producer at Riot Games, Anna Donlon has not left the the organization, she will be working on other aspects of the game and managing the Valorant team taking the role of Valorant Studio Lead.
In addition to Andy Ho’s introduction as an Executive Producer. Riot Games also announced a huge update to the game which is expected in June. This update will be about “map rotations, balance, skins, and replays.” Yes, you read it right, replays are coming to Valorant.
While Andy Ho brings a ton of experience to the table and is more than qualified to take the role of Executive Producer, it will be exciting to see the direction he plans to take Valorant on. Having said this, keep your eye out for the update in June.
