The highly anticipated Valorant patch 2.08 is here, and it has brought with it a plethora of new changes to the competitive shooter by Riot. These new additions include social and competitive changes, the map Breeze, and a coaching system that has been requested by many players in the past.
In case you’re unaware about how the new map looks like, we have you covered. You can check our review on the map to get an idea about the map before you jump into the game.
Alongside the introduction of Breeze, the new coach system has also gained the attention of the Valorant player base.
Here’s how the coaching system works:
- Coaches can spectate Tournament Mode games and are locked to observing the team chosen in the custom game lobby.
- Coaches cannot use Map Pings, Team Chat, or Voice Chat in-game.
- Coaches can use All Chat and Party Chat to allow for cases where they may need to communicate with a Tournament Moderator.
- Coaches can pause a match in cases where that functionality is allowed to players.
Needless to say, this is certainly a big step in the growth of Valorant as a competitive esport. Professional players and teams have been asking for a coaching system in Valorant for quite a while now, and it’s certainly a welcome change in the shooter.
