Valorant Patch 2.08 Bug Causing Players to Get Lower Rank Placements

The highly anticipated Valorant patch 2.08 of Riot’s tactical shooter Valorant has hit the live servers yesterday, and it has brought a plethora of new content to the title that fans are seeming to enjoy. However, a newly-discovered bug seems to be placing players in lower ranks than they actually deserve, and it has become a cause of concern in the Valorant community.

Earlier today, Riot confirmed the existence of this bug and claimed that they’ve already fixed it. They also stated that they’re working towards fixing the ranks of players who were already placed incorrectly as a result of this bug.

It’s still unclear how long will it take for the incorrectly placed players to get their actual ranks. If you’ve calibrated your rank already and have found yourself way below your original rank, chances are that you’re also a victim of this bug.

If you haven’t calibrated already, you can safely proceed to do so now since the devs have confirmed that the bug has been patched.
