Firing while sprinting is generally considered to be a naive move in any FPS game as it affects the weapon accuracy when compared to firing while standing still or shift-walking. However, this seemed to create havoc in Riot’s competitive shooter Valorant as players were stranded due to the ‘Run and gun’ mechanics which did result in unconventional headshots while doing the same. For many Valorant players, it does matter when it comes to shooting while sprinting is a huge disappointment, particularly for those players transitioning from CSGO where running accuracy with rifles is completely realistic.
The game developer in the latest 2.02 patch update has inculcated a plethora of changes within its first-person shooter where the most anticipated “Run and Gun” mechanics have been hit with a crippling variation. This change was earlier confirmed by the former in a Q&A.
With Riot seemingly working on the RNG factor, they too added, “Keep in mind, we’re making sure not to change too many systems at once to ensure that shooting doesn’t feel so dramatically different that you’ll have to relearn habits.”
On account of the above quoted text, we might witness a series of updates lined up, to be pushed in the game.
