A Valorant Game Changers team from the Asia Pacific region, Dominatus Jade, has been suspended by Riot Games alongside its entire roster on account of fielding a 13-year-old. The org was suspended following Riot Games’ ruling on June 13, 2023.
According to Riot’s existing rule set, only players who are 16 years old or above are eligible to participate in the company’s sanctioned tournaments. As per the ruling, FSL, the tournament operator for the GC event, had been informed about one of Dominatus Jade’s players being below the age of 16.
Following an investigation on the same, Dominatus was asked to provide identity verification for all the players in their Game Changers squad. One of their players, ‘spyxii,’ was unable to provide age verification. Subsequently, the player confessed to being 13 years old, according to Riot Games.
As a result, the entire Dominatus Jade Valorant lineup has received a temporary suspension. The players who played alongside ‘spyxii,’ namely ‘Sinoo,’ ‘Bella,’ ‘Chimochi,’ and ‘Jean,’ each received a seven-month suspension for breaching the company’s rules. ‘Spyxii’ hasn’t received a suspension, but will be unable to compete in Riot-sanctioned tournaments till she turns 16.
The organization, Dominatus Jade, has also been suspended from participating in Valorant tournaments for seven months, and is currently under probation from Riot.
