Orangutan Esports Defeats Lethal Esports in VCL South Asia Debut Match

In the much-awaited debut match of VCL South Asia, Orangutan Esports defeated Lethal Esports on 18th March 2023. The match was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of Valorant Esports South Asia. Orangutan Esports’ impressive performance in the match is a testament to their skills and strategy.

Orangutan Esports Roster and Lineup

Orangutan Esports is a team of skilled players led by Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose as IGL, Akram “Rawfiul” Virani, Rishi “RvK” Vijayakumar, Azis “azys” Nandang, Jm “tesseract” Ignacio, and Rajiv “LeVi” Satpute (Sub). Although Levi had to substitute for a key player due to medical emergencies, the team’s core strength remained intact.

Lethal Esports Roster and Lineup

On the other hand, Lethal Esports boasted an all-Indian player roster, including Agneya “Marzil” Koushik as IGL, Shivam “sh1vy” Ajmani, Anil “LuciA” Kumar, Shahul “Khelthuzad” Hameed, Kiran “Rossi” Rossi, and Ayush “Cybell” Singh (Sub).

Map Veto and Selection

During the veto process, Orangutan Esports banned Lotus, and Lethal Esports banned Split. Orangutan Esports chose Haven as the first map, while Lethal Esports picked Fracture as the second map. Orangutan Esports also banned Icebox, and Lethal Esports followed suit. Finally, Ascent was selected as the third map of the game.

Match Recap

Orangutan started the match strong, securing a 7-0 lead on Haven and winning the first half 11-1. They continued to dominate and won the map convincingly, with a score of 13-1, leaving Lethal Esports no room to breathe. Tesseract was named the MVP, with 16 kills on 6 deaths and an ACS of 315 on Haven.

Orangutan continued their impressive performance on Fracture, Lethal Esports’ chosen map. Orangutan finished the first half at 9-3 and ended the game with a score of 13-4. Azys was named the MVP, delivering a stunning 30-kill performance in just 17 rounds with a mere 6 deaths and an ACS of 460 on Fracture.
