Orangutan becomes VCL SA Split 2 Champion defeating Reckoning Esports

Orangutan continues their winning streak as they become the Champions of Valorant Challengers League South Asia: Split 2 Grand Final after defeating Reckoning in a 3-2 fashion.

Reckoning Esports had a talented lineup of Harsh “Harshhh” Arora as IGL, Saksham “Deadly10” Aurangabadkar, Jit “Tryst” Dutta, Daniil “flabben” Merzlyakov, Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin and  Varun “Mast3r” Menon.

Orangutan Esports is a team of skilled players led by Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose as IGL, Akram “Rawfiul” Virani, Rishi “RvK” Vijayakumar, Azis “azys” Nandang, Jm “tesseract” Ignacio, and Rajiv “LeVi” Satpute (Sub).

Match Recap

Haven started with RGE winning the pistol and anti-eco round. OG won their full buy round and equalized the score at 2-2. The half finished at 7-5 for RGE.

The pistol round and anti-eco round were won by RGE, but they lost the bonus as RVK got a  3k. Hvoya got a 3k in round 18 to bring the score to 12-6. RGE managed to win their opponents’ map pick at 13-6.

Fracture began with RGE winning the pistol again, along with the anti-eco round as Hvoya clutched a 1v2. They lost the bonus round as well as the next round to equalize the score at 2-2. Round 7 was a thrifty win by OG as Antidote got a triple kill. RGE finished the half at 8-4 as they won 4 rounds in a row.

OG won the second pistol as well as the anti-eco round. They even won the bonus round as Azys got a quad kill on his Bulldog. The score equalized at 8-8, and OG managed to win 6 rounds in a row to lead 10-8. Round 19 saw a 1v2 clutch by Antidote and Round 21 saw a thrifty win by RGE. OG won the map at 13-10, coming back from 8-4 down. 

RGE won the pistol on Split, along with the anti-eco round. They lost their bonus round and OG equalized the score at 2-2. OG won 4 rounds in a row but RGE equalized the score at 4-4. RGE finished the half at 7-5. 

RGE again won another pistol as well as the anti-eco round. They even won the bonus round to lead the map 10-5. RGE did not drop a single round in the second half and closed the map at 13-5. 

OG won the first pistol on Bind as well as the anti-eco round. They even won the bonus round as RVK clutched a 1v2 with his Sheriff. OG won 5 rounds in a row until round 6 was won by RGE, bringing the score to 1-5. RGE still managed to win a couple more rounds and OG finished the half at 7-5.

OG won another pistol round as well as the anti-eco round. RGE won their buy round but lost the next round to bring the score to 6-10. OG finished the half at 13-6 to push the match to the fifth map.

Ascent started with RGE winning the pistol and the anti-eco round but losing the bonus. OG won 7 rounds in a row to lead 7-2. OG finished the half at 8-4.

RGE won the second pistol as well as the anti-eco round but lost the bonus round, bringing the score to 9-6. OG won 4 rounds in a row to win the Championship at 13-8 for the last map.
