Orangutan continue their winning streak beating True Rippers in VCL SA Split 2

True Rippers will now face Revenant Esports again as Orangutan push them off to the lower bracket, winning 2-0 even after True Rippers finish a close half of 6-6 and 5-7 on both maps.

True Rippers Roster and Lineup

The roster of True Rippers consists of Saaransh “Whimp” Dang as the IGL, Shravana “Techno” Sahoo, Chogyal “Kaizen” Bhutia, Philip “Aryu” Vergara, Nereus “d1srupt” Lico and Aditya “Pixelzz” Gulhane(Sub).

Orangutan Esports Roster and Lineup

Orangutan Esports is a team of skilled players led by Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose as IGL, Akram “Rawfiul” Virani, Rishi “RvK” Vijayakumar, Azis “azys” Nandang, Jm “tesseract” Ignacio, and Rajiv “LeVi” Satpute (Sub).

Map Veto and Selection

True Rippers banned Ascent and Orangutan banned Lotus. Pearl and Bind were picked respectively. Fracture and Split were banned and Haven was the deciding map.

Match Recap

TR won the pistol on Pearl, as well as the anti-eco round as Kaizen got a quad kill on his Bulldog. They lost their bonus round as Rawfiul got a triple kill to get the round for OG. Round 5 was a thrifty win by OG as Tesseract won a 1v3 clutch with a Guardian. Round 9 saw another quad kill by Tesseract to bring the score to 4-5. Round 11 was a thrifty win from TR to give them the lead again. OG closed the half at 6-6. 

OG won the second pistol round as well as the anti-eco round but they lost the bonus as Techno got a quad kill and the defuse to secure the round. Round 20 saw a huge win by TR as a lot of ultimates were invested in the round and TR had only won one round of 8 rounds in the second half and Whimp got a triple kill to defend the spike defuser. OG finished the map at 13-8, dropping only two rounds in their attacking half.

Bind started by D1srupt’s triple kill on the pistol round and winning the anti-eco round as well. OG won the full buy round and the next round to equalize the score at 2-2. Round 7 saw a thrifty win by TR as Techno clutched a 1v3. Round 8 again saw a good round by Tesseract as he got a quad kill on a mere 15 hp to lead 5-3. OG managed to finish the half at 7-5 in their favor.

OG won the second pistol as well as the anti-eco round. They even won the bonus round even though D1srupt got quad kills. In Round 16, Whimp got two entry kills putting TR in a 5v3 situation but Rawfiul turned the tables with his quad kill on low hp. Round 18 was the first win by TR in the second half as Techno got a 4k clutch to get the score of 6-12. Round 19 was another win by TR as Whimp got an essential triple kill. Round 20 was a 2v4 clutch by OG as RVK got 2 kills and Azys won the last 1v1 to end the map at 13-7. 

Azys was the MVP as his KDA was 43/25/8 in two maps.

True Rippers will now face Reckoning Esports in the lower bracket on 5th June and Orangutan will proceed to the Upper Bracket Finals.
