Reckoning Esports Eliminate God’s Reign from VCL SA Split 2

After winning 2-1 from Reckoning in Upper Round 1, God’s Reign failed to score even 1 map against the same team, losing 2-0, and were out of the race of Split 2.

The roster of God’s Reign consists of Vibhor “Vibhor” Vaid as IGL,Simar “psy” Sethi, Aman “Hoax” Yadav, Nick “tixx” Quinn, Kale “autumn” Dunne and Garvit “Ember” Nehra(Sub).

Reckoning Esports Roster and Lineup

Reckoning Esports had a talented lineup of Harsh “Harshhh” Arora as IGL, Saksham “Deadly10” Aurangabadkar, Jit “Tryst” Dutta, Daniil “flabben” Merzlyakov, Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin and  Varun “Mast3r” Menon.

Map Veto and Selection

Reckoning banned Split and God’s Reign banned Fracture. Pearl and Ascent were picked and Haven and Lotus were banned. Bind was the deciding map.

Match Recap

Pearl started with RGE winning the pistol and the anti-eco round. GDR won their full buy round but then lost 8 rounds in a row as RGE clutched a 2v4 in round 5, Hvoya got an Ace in round 6 and Flabben got a triple kill in round 11. They won round 12 to close the half at 2-10. 

The second half commenced with Tryst getting a triple kill and winning the pistol round for RGE. GDR did a half buy the next round but lost a 2v1 clutch to Flabben. Round 15 was won by GDR as Autumn got a 3k. But RGE closed the map 13-5 as Harshhh clutch a 1v2 to defend the defuse.

RGE again won the pistol on Ascent as Tryst had a triple kill as well as the anti-eco round. They lost the bonus round but won the next round. RGE won 3 rounds consecutively but lost against a half-buy from GDR in round 9. Round 11 was won by RGE as Hvoya got a quad kill on Sage. Round 12 saw a 2v4 clutch by GDR to close the half at 4-8 with Autumn getting a triple kill.

GDR won the second pistol as well as the anti-eco round. They lost the bonus round but won three rounds in a row afterward. After being 8-4 down, GDR came back to equalize the score at 9-9. But RGE won three rounds in a row to bring the score to a match point at 12-9. Round 23 saw a 2v4 clutch by GDR as Psydreams got a quad kill. GDR managed to throw the game into Overtime, where they lost 15-13.

Even though GD lost, Autumn was the MVP with the ACS of 296 and the KDA of 48/ 35/ 9 on two maps.

Reckoning Esports will now face the loser of the Upper Finals.
