Reckoning Wins Over Velocity in a One-Sided Fashion in VCL SA

Even though Velocity were the fan-favorite team, they lost 0-2 to Reckoning Esports and finished their run in the qualifiers as 1-3, failing to go forward in the playoffs. Reckoning won 13-6 and 13-4 to qualify for the playoffs.

Velocity Gaming Esports Roster and Lineup

The roster of Velocity Gaming consists of Sagnik “Hellff” Roy, Debanjan “DEATHMAKER” Das, Karan “Excali” Mhaswadkar, Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, Adam “ec1s” Eccles as IGL and Anuj “Amaterasu” Sharma. 

Reckoning Esports Roster and Lineup

Reckoning Esports had a talented lineup of Harsh “Harshhh” Arora as IGL, Saksham “Deadly10” Aurangabadkar, Jit “Tryst” Dutta, Daniil “flabben” Merzlyakov, Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin and  Varun “Mast3r” Menon.

Map Veto and Selection

Reckoning Esports banned Split and Velocity Gaming banned Fracture. Lotus and Bind were picked, and Pearl and Haven were banned. Ascent was the deciding map.

Match Recap

Lotus started with RGE winning the pistol round as Hvoya got a triple kill as well as the anti-eco round. They even managed to win the bonus round but VLT converts a thrifty win in round 4 as Doma gets a clean 4k and a 1v2 clutch. RGE went on a rampage after that, winning continuous rounds, pressing the W. They won 9 rounds in a row, closing the half at 11-1.

The second half started with VLT winning the pistol round along with the anti-eco round. They even managed to win the bonus round, giving them momentum. Amaterasu stepped up for the team in Round 4 by getting a quad kill. Round 17 was again a VLT win as Deathmaker got an amazing quad-kill. RGE finally got their first round in the defending side in round 19 to bring the score to 12-6. RGE won the first map at 13-6.

VLT won the pistol round on Bind but RGE got the eco round as Flabben got a quad kill with his backstab. RGE won the 3rd round with Flabben getting a 3k again. RGE won 5 rounds in a row to bring the score to 7-2. They finished the half at 9-3 in a dominating fashion.

RGE won the second pistol round as Hvoya got a triple kill again. They won the anti-eco as Tryst got a triple kill. They even won the bonus round, thanks to Deadly10’s 3k. Round 16 was won by VLT as Deathmaker got a triple kill to bring the score to 4-12. RGE closed the map at 13-4, to win the series 2-0 in a dominating fashion. 

Deadly10 was the Match MVP as he dropped a 294 ACS on Raze and Jett in two maps.
