VCT postpones Challengers 2 event ahead of bad stormy weather

The next event of the Valorant Champions tour in North America has been postponed to Feb 20 after being haunted by the rough weather conditions in the country.

On Twitter, VCT made an announcement stating,

“Due to weather concerns and potential power outages for many of our players this week, the #VALORANTChallengers. Week 2 Main Event has been pushed back to start on Saturday, 2/20.”

The National Weather Service in NA said more than 100+ million Americans are now under winter storm warnings. The daunting storm has left millions without power along the U.S. Gulf Coast which has ultimately led to a surge in demand for electricity leading to a widespread power cut resulting in players facing severe issues while playing the same. Amidst this storm, VCT couldn’t deny risking their fixtures and have decided to postpone them till Feb 20.

The Challengers 2 event will kick off with FaZe Clan locking horns against Sentinels in the opener at 20:00 IST.
