At the beginning of March 2021, Riot announced their first-ever Major event, to be held on LAN in Iceland. Known as the Valorant Masters event, it would be the latter’s second iteration. The Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2 or the VCT Stage 2 has kicked off and the open qualifier for the Challengers 1 event is underway. Teams like Cloud9 Blue, Sentinels, XSET, 100 Thieves, T1 have set themselves up in the Semi-Finals bracket, and are these teams expected to complete in their brackets today from 12:00 AM IST onwards. Victory in this Semi-final bracket would place them in the Finals which would then lock the fate of 8 teams winning over their opponents.

Just like Stage 1, we would witness the same format as needed for progressing to the playoffs seeds and ultimately to the Regional Challengers final event.

The Challengers 1 event would see the top 4 teams advance to the Challengers Finals event with the rest 4 getting a second chance to survive in the second iteration of the same. The second Challengers event would decide the final 4 teams for the Finals event.

Note: Open qualifier event for Challengers 2 would witness just 4 teams qualify for the former, unlike the first event.

The Challengers finals event would be held on a regional basis with 8 teams fighting for just 2 spots at the Masters event to be held in Reykjavik, Iceland which would mark Valorant’s first-ever major LAN event.
