Riot Games have revealed Berlin as the venue to host the third and final iteration of the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3. This announcement was made today at the Riot Games Esports Media Preview Event. The Valorant Champions Tour event will run from September 9-19, later this year.
2021’s final Masters event will be held in Berlin, Germany, and is scheduled to take place at the Verti Music Hall, which hosted the League of Legends World Championship Group Stage in 2019. The tournament will be held on LAN and might be played in front of an audience, but the latter fact is yet to be clarified by the game developer.
Unlike the upcoming VCT Stage 2 Masters event, the final leg of VCT will feature a total of 16 teams. The qualification program will see teams compete through a series of 7 Challengers tournaments and will kick off from June. The format for the same is yet to be declared by Riot Games.
Whalen Rozelle, Riot Games’ Sr. Director of Esports said in a statement,
He further said that the champion of the VCT Stage 3 Masters event will automatically qualify for the Valorant Champions event, the final event in the entire VCT Circuit.
