In the next Episode, both the popular Split and a brand new map for Valorant will make a return. Neither map’s name has been revealed. Season 6’s competitive queue kicks off with a rank reset and a new battlepass and weapon set for players to unlock.

At the conclusion of Act 3 in Episode 5 of Valorant, the rankings will be reset for Episode 6.
An official Reddit FAQ states that after completing a series of “placement games” that do not count toward RR, users can anticipate falling further down the rankings.
It’s a soft reset, so your rank and MMR are slightly lowered, but you should easily regain them in the new season.
