On October 26th, Riot Games informed their player base about the new competitive mode that will be available in Valorant. The new game mode is going to be named Premier, and it will provide players the opportunity to go “beyond Radiant” with a new seasonal challenge.
Additionally, Premier will feature a well-planned tournament structure for dedicated teams who are looking to take their abilities to the next level. Riot Games addressed challenge-hungry players and stated that it wanted to build a connection between the game and its esports setup through a highly competitive mode that will enable players to experience Valorant in a similar way that pros and teams do.

This mode will be available in the game when it launches later this year.
In addition, Riot Games mentioned that “next week, the competitive team is going to be delivering the Alpha version of this functionality into the hands of an initial group of players named Premier.”
If we start with a smaller group, we will be able to test and iterate more quickly, which will ensure that the final product is in the hands of the rest of you sooner. In the future, we plan to push this out to a bigger cohort; however, this will allow us to test and iterate more quickly.
“We wanted to build a connection between the game and the esport through a highly competitive mode that would allow millions of players to experience Valorant in a similar way as our VCT pros and teams,” stated Jonathan “EvrMoar” Walker in his blog post.
The developers reaffirmed that Premier is now in the Alpha testing phase and stated that it contains around sixty percent of all of the intended features and capabilities; nevertheless, there are entire features that are not included in the current Alpha.
The new mode in Valorant is named Premier, and it will function as a path-to-pro mode. Players will be able to build five-person teams in order to compete in an environment that is far more challenging. The tournament system used in League of Legends, known as Clash, is comparable to Premier.
In Premier, players will be able to form their own teams and compete against one another across a season of arranged matches. “They will be able to build or join a team of five friends, acquaintances, and neighbors and battle for glory against teams of a similar ability level,” stated Riot. “These teams will compete against other teams of the same skill level.”
Following the completion of the team’s roster, it will be assigned to a division, in which it will compete throughout an ongoing season that is made up of a combination of weekly matches and tournaments.
Each season will be a few weeks long, and if the team is successful in what it sets out to do, there is a chance that it may qualify for the tournament that takes place at the end of the season to compete for the title of Division Champion. Each season will last a few weeks, and the best clubs will compete for the Division Championship.
A select set of Brazilian players will get an initial version of the new mode next week. Riot plans to make it available to more players in the future, but a smaller group will allow them to test and iterate faster and ship the final version sooner.
Premier alpha test includes 60% of intended features and functionality.
