Valve Fixes 17-Year-Old TF2 Bug

A Long-Awaited Fix

Valve silently corrected a graphical bug that has tormented Team Fortress 2 for nearly 17 years. Finally, the Scout of the Blue team has pants that are the right color blue.

This relatively minor detail has caused huge debate and commotion among the devoted TF2 enthusiast community. For a long time now, players have registered the error, joking about the rather bizarre fashion sense of the healer. However, with the latest patch notes from Valve, it is clear that the developers were on the case to correct this mistake.

Although the reasoning for this belated patch remains a mystery, much like Valve’s whole mysterious approach, much of the reaction to this in the community has been mixed between shock and appreciation. Some fans lashed out with incredulity over how something so obviously in error could have gone unchecked for this long. Other fans praised Valve for such attention to detail two years after the fact.

But Team Fortress 2 remains an ageless favorite, continuing to sink under the attention of international players. It is a sure-proof indicator of the community that this game has – ironically, together with its funny as well as well-balanced game and highly intensive gameplay. Although this update may seem trivial and inconsequential, it speaks a lot of Valve’s interest in the game and passionate fan base.
