The Wildcard event for the Valorant Conquerors Championship is about to get underway with a total of 7* teams set to lock horns for the only spot at the former, scheduled to start from August 20.
*It seems, a team has already withdrawn from the Wildcard event which would help MAXD Esports advance onto the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals while the other six would have to play their Quarter Final fixtures.
At the end of May, Riot had announced its collaboration with Nodwin Gaming to give the South Asian region its first-ever official Championship event and to be a part of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Circuit. Five regional qualifiers along with a wildcard event had been decked up by the event organizer out of which, five teams have already been determined for the VCC’s main event.
In the wake of the final spot to be filled, the teams who were unable to advance from their regional qualifiers will have yet another shot at redemption towards the main VCC qualification.
Here is the list** of the teams who would feature in the upcoming wildcard event:

2. Team Enigma
3. Team Arrow
4. MAXD Esports
5. Legion
6. Lexious Gaming
7. Regal e-sports
Across the regional qualifiers, Team XO were sent packing by Global Esports in the grand finals of the second qualifier while Enigma secured a spot at the Wildcard post their consecutive Semi-Finals appearances. In the PK/AF qualifier, Team Arrow were denied a spot further in VCC twice in the finals while MAXD were successful in winning the Tie-breaker.
Legion (Indo-Nepal Mixture), Lexious Gaming (Sri Lanka) and Regal e-sports (Bangladesh) are the other three teams who would count on their stars while competing.
The format of the Wildcard event will be split into Upper Bracket (UB) and Lower Bracket (LB) rounds. Teams dropping from the UB Quarterfinals and Semifinals would have to go through the Lower Bracket rounds followed by LB round 3 and a final. The mapping has been attached below.

- Team Arrow (Pakistan) Vs Lexious Gaming (Sri Lanka): 6 PM IST
- Enigma Gaming (India) Vs Regal E-sports (Bangladesh): 6 PM IST
**The first Quarter Final match has been awarded to MAXD, a Pakistan Based team as a result of BYE.
