Vikin.GG are Beating the Odds in EPIC League Division 1

Vikin.GG are a relatively new team on the eSports scene but they have been making waves in Dota 2 events. The Romanian organisation first came to the attention of fans thanks to their performances in the qualifier of Majors and Minors during the 2019/20 DPC season. Having played well during the year, Vikin.GG have developed to become one of the leading teams in Europe.

They have some great players within their team including Seleri, who is the captain plus Shad, BOOM, Tobi, and Aramis. Vikin.GG are coached by ImmortalFaith, one the world’s leading creators of Dota2 guides. So, with an exciting blend of talent, Vikin.GG are a team to watch and they are beating the odds in EPIC League Division 1.

In fact, for those who have been following the action, now may be the perfect time to back Vikin.GG and you can check out the best bookmakers and odds at bettingonline.co.uk.

In terms of the 2020 EPIC League Division 1, the competition is in progress at the time of writing with the group stages about to end. The top four teams in the group progress to the knockout stages of the tournament and Vikin.GG have secured their place in the play offs with one match to spare.

Prior to the start of the tournament, Team Secret were the clear favourite to win the event having dominated much of the competitive scene in 2020. Their dominance in Dota 2 throughout the season has not gone unnoticed and the bookmakers had Team Secret leading the way. Some of the other teams featuring high up in the betting odds before the event included OG, Team Liquid, and Team Nigma.

Vikin.GG came into the tournament as outsiders to succeed. However, a look at their recent record going into the competition shows they are a team to be feared. The entered EPIC League Division 1 on the back of a victory at Dota Summit 13 and previously claimed victory at victory at BTS Pro Season 3. Many people felt Vikin.GG still had a big step to make if they were to mix it with the best teams in Europe and they appear to have done exactly that, upsetting the odds in the process.

Following the 2-0 sweep of OG on the 21st of November, Vikin.GG took sole possession of first place in Division 1. However, perhaps their best performance of the tournament to date came against Virtus.pro, who were top of the table with a 100% record going into the match. Despite having gone 1-0 down, Vikin.GG showed their resilience and skill to win the second game and went on to both out-draft and out-play Virtus.pro in the third game. That result saw Vikin.GG move back to the top of the division.

Although the team may not have been taken seriously as a potential winner before the event, Vikin.GG are now one of the major contenders to win the 2020 EPIC League Division 1.
