Virtual streamer CodeMiko banned for the third time

Popular virtual streamer CodeMiko has been banned from Twitch for the third time, begging the question that if this holds up as a permanent ban.

VTubers or Virtual Streamers are something many people are unaware of. To get the gist of it, they use a digitally made avatar to replace themselves on stream. With the help of motion capture devices, these avatars are brought to life making them similarly sounding persons with identical gestures. CodeMiko is one of them that stands out with a massive viewership and fanbase.

The ban was handed to her on 19th January and Twitch lived up the trend of not explaining themselves. However, her fans were quick to pull up speculations with a large group of them believing that her frequent use of the word “simp” got her into trouble as Twitch red-flagged it not so long ago. While others have put forward another compelling reason as she violated the terms against drinking on live stream when interviewing fellow streamer PayMoneyWubby.

So far, no concrete reason is found behind the ban, and CodeMiko is yet to post a statement addressing it. The length of the ban remains a mystery as well but worse would be a permanent ban if she is handed one. Three strikes usually translate to a permanent ban and only time can tell if Twitch will show some generosity with her.
