WePlay! announces WeSave! charity Dota 2 tournament to help fight coronavirus

A fight against COVID-19, WePlay! announces WeSave! Charity Play with top teams around the globe.

ESL One Los Angeles Major which was supposed to have commenced by now but eventually was canceled considering the COVID-19 situation across the globe. Not just that, Earlier yesterday following ESL One Los Angeles Major, Valve decided to cancel the whole 4th set of DPC Major and Minor tournament for the same.

In response towards the pandemic of COVID-19 WePlay! has announced ”WeSave! Charity Play”, fully online, non-profitable tournament, featuring 24 teams.

Each of six major regions Europe, CIS, North, and South America, China and Southeast Asia will have four teams playing for a prize pool of $20,000, rounding up $120,000 altogether. Added to that, not just the prize pool but all the donations coming from streams running or sponsors will be contributed further to help battle Coronavirus.

The tournament is all set to start only three days from now, March 20th to March 26th. WePlay! Charity Play has already confirmed 14 teams out the stack of 24 as of now, the rest 10 to be announced shortly. The confirmed teams include some big names such as Nigma, Team Secret, TNC Predator.

Six regions and six days, all of this happening around the globe will be remotely handled by WePlay!. To accompany them, throughout the event they will be joined by plenty of commentators to cover the games in Full English, Russian and Ukrainian languages broadcasts.
