Modern Warfare 2 release date is right around the corner and with the developers having chosen to return to their roots with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare back in 2019, several elements of Modern Warfare were picked up from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from 2007, arguably the best COD game of all time.
Following the success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019, the developers decided to build on it with another installment that follows up on the same storyline. Having successfully completed the second beta, the game looks just as expected, with stunning visuals, unique mechanics, and a promising teaser that has created hype around it.
In their last event, Activision announced that they will be dropping 2 more games along with MW2. Warzone 2 and Warzone Mobile will also drop along with the main game.
Call of Duty: Warzone was a massive popular BR game that dropped along with MW 2019 and enjoyed massive success. Having not undergone any significant overhaul, Warzone 2 will be aimed at providing gamers with a major refresh.
Modern Warfare 2: Release Date
Those with pre-purchase privileges will be able to access the game as early as 20th October. However, the campaign will be available a week ahead of the full release date. Fast forward to 16th November, players will be able to access Warzone 2.0 and Warzone Mobile is expected to follow suit.
The latest iteration of Modern Warfare has the attention of the entire gaming community. With Battlefield having fallen behind with its past launches, COD is primed to take the throne for the best FPS game in the world.
Modern Warfare was popular for its graphics, gameplay, and most importantly, the storyline and the teasers were really promising in the first two departments, however storyline being the most crucial, the full launch will determine how it faired compared to the last COD.
