Rushindra Sinha Reveals Why SkRossi Left Global Esports

After a long wait, Rushindra Sinha, the CEO of Global Esports, recently disclosed the reasons behind the departure of star Valorant player Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar from the organization. SkRossi, who had been with the organization since their entry into the Valorant scene, made a surprising exit in November 2023 to join Revenant Esports. This move followed a lackluster season for both the player and the team, which failed to meet the high expectations set by fans and the organization.

Sinha on SkRossi Left Global Esports: “He Wanted to Be on the Active Team”

During a recent live stream, a viewer asked Rushindra Sinha, CEO of Global Esports, why SkRossi Left Global Esports, despite his status as a key player and fan favorite. Sinha explained that SkRossi was not part of the team’s primary playing five but was instead considered as the sixth player. “We decided that he wanted to explore options. He didn’t fit into the playing five that we had in our mind. And we wanted to make him the sixth player on the team But he didn’t want to sit out, and he wanted to be on the active team, which makes sense for any player who wants to play,” said Sinha.

Following this, Sinha explained that it was the right decision for SkRossi to seek other opportunities, as being on an active team would provide him with more exposure and experience. “It is absolutely a great idea, because you get more stage time and exposure and even more experience. So we allowed him to explore options,” he said.

Finally, Sinha said that SkRossi chose to join Revenant Esports from multiple offers he received and mentioned that Global Esports remains on good terms with him. “When he got offers, he chose RNT and now he’s playing with them. We are on very good terms, and GE is always waiting for an opportunity to work with Rossi in the future. But as of right now, he is with RNT,” he added.
