Riot Games has finally included a new major region in the final phase of releasing League of Legends: Wild Rift globally. After a long wait, the American fans can officially access Wild Rift in their own region from the next month as a Latin America . Riot Games is yet to include NA and Indian region in the global release.
League of Legends: Wild Rift was one of the biggest announcements alongside Valorant in 2019. These two games were promised to be fully released in 2020 and Valorant was on schedule but Wild Rift was delayed due to global pandemic. The massive shutdown caused several operational delays to the Wild Rift team and hence, the launch was postponed.
After a long wait, Riot Games began their open beta testing in SEA region for a while and soon included almost every other region except Americas by the year end. Wild Rift team stated their plans to release Wild Rift in American region in Spring 2021 and they are living up to their words as the game will be fully available in Latin America by March.
The official Twitter handle of League of Legends: Wild Rift Latin America has stated this release and one can expect the full-fledged launch by next month. The announcement does not cover the North American region but it could be added to the list very soon.
The reason of this delay in launch was difficulties in setting up servers but as LATAM is already added, one can expect an NA server in Wild Rift in the next couple of months. Same could be considered for Indian region as well.
