Wiz Khalifa partners with North-American org. Pittsburgh Knights

Pittsburgh Knights recently announced the addition of Grammy-nominated Wiz Khalifa as a strategic partner. Wiz Khalifa is famously known for his super hit song “See You Again” which is also 2nd most viewed music video on YouTube sitting at more than 4 Billion views alone.

According to a press release, Wiz Khalifa is “Joining forces with the Pittsburgh Knights as a strategic partner, bringing expertise in creative direction, marketing, live events and entertainment.”

“Wiz Khalifa” Thomaz is a man of multi-talents, from being multi-platinum rap artist to appearing in several films. Wiz Khalifa also owns and operate a line of cannabis products. He also has his own game named Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm.

According to Wiz, being a Pittsburgh native himself it was given to go with a local team as his first esports endeavour. In a release he said:

It is awesome to partner with the Knights, alongside the Pittsburgh Steelers, on this exciting endeavour. The Knights are pushing the boundaries in the esports space with an experienced team. Being based in Pittsburgh, my hometown, a city known for bringing home championships, I am pumped to be a part of this moment in history kicking off another winning team for the city.

Pittsburgh Knights president James O’Connor said:

Wiz is definitely a visionary. He’s always ahead of the curve; he’s creative and savvy and we admire him and his team for their work ethic. We’re really happy to welcome him into the Knights’ family.

This is 2nd major investment that Pittsburgh Knights have secured after 2018. In 2018, Pittsburgh Steelers, a six-time Super Bowl Champion team also partnered with Knights.

Currently, Pittsburgh Knights competes mainly in Fortnite, PUBG, Madden NFL 19 and Apex Legends. With Wiz Khalifa on board, the organisation will look to further expand their base of operations and also release new content that will boost the team’s popularity and help in reaching more fans worldwide.
