Esports is now recognized in Kazakhstan

E-sports is officially recognized as a sport in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports . This is reported on the website of the Committee on Sports and Physical Education of the ISS RK.

It is noted that the republican public association Qazaq Cybersport Federation, created last year by the e-sports enthusiasts, received support and recognition from the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“To date, a comprehensive targeted program for the development of e-sports has been developed and work has been carried out to join the international profile organizations.The officially recognized and accredited federation can now officially represent the country on international sites.

The Internet site of the federation is www.qcf.kz , – the report says. Chairman of the Board of JSC Kazakhtelecom, president of Qazaq Cybersport Federation Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev in Facebook noted that the federation will soon be able to tell about the first victories.

“The Ministry of Culture and Sports, on the basis of the application of our federation, officially recognized e-sports as a sport on June 25. I wanted to congratulate all e-sports fans on this,” he wrote. In October 2017, the International Olympic Committee took up the issue of recognizing e-sports as an Olympic sport.

According to reports of experts, in 2017 the turnover of the international eSports market amounted to $ 655 million, and, according to forecasts, by 2021 its turnover will exceed $ 1.6 billion.
