Xbox Rumored to Release Handheld Console

According to the latest reports, the long-running rumors about a portable Xbox system might be leading to something. In the latest video from Spanish insider eXtas1s uploaded to YouTube, Xbox is expected to reveal a teaser for the next Xbox Portable system during the Xbox Games Showcase.

According to Xbox head Phil Spencer’s earlier comments, it’s probable that the Windows experience on the Xbox Portable would be more suited for a portable device stating “Things that usually frustrate me are more Windows-based than device-based. Which is an area I feel some ownership of.”

A Windows-based handheld console tailored by Microsft would open the doors to a world of possibilities. Windows being the most popular OS for gamers is often criticised for being not as optimised as PS. However, now that Microsft is going all in, we might see a console that supports a wider range of games that runs better than the rest of the handheld consoles out there.

While we suggest taking these rumors with a pinch of salt, we can always hope for the best. With the June Showcase right around the corner, mark your calendars and get hopeful for some good news.
