Xiaomi sponsors PUBG Mobile team Bigetron Esports

Xiaomi has decided to sponsor one of the best teams in PUBG Mobile esports and are rumoured to launch two new smartphones Redmi Note 9 & Redmi Note 9 Pro very soon.

In an Instagram post, Xiaomi announced their official partnership with Bigetron RA. Since Bigetron RA is one of the best PUBG Mobile team from South-East Asian region, Xiaomi said if the Redmi Note 9 series was indeed made for #parajawara, and Bigetron being the world champion, this partnership seems more appealing.

Bigetron is indeed often heard in the eSports arena as one of the leading eSports organizations from Indonesia and that’s one of the reasons why Xiaomi Indonesia showed interest in the team at the very first place.

Bigetron managed to gain both fame & popularity and has peaked this year after being at the top of the MPL Indonesia Season 5 standings in PUBG Mobile. Their esports team also performed well in Call of Duty Major Series Season 2.

Bigetron Esports was founded by Edwin Chia in 2017 who is now the CEO of the org. The step to become a sponsor of the eSports gamers team seems to be Xiaomi’s assertion that its newest product, the Redmi Note 9 series is a smartphone that can be counted on to become a player in mobile games that is currently rising.

Both smartphones are equipped with batteries with a capacity of 5020 mAh. The only major difference is that the Note 9 Pro series has 30W fast charging technology while the regular Note 9 is only 18W. There is a slight difference in processors as well. The Redmi Note 9 Pro has a kitchen runway from Qualcomm, the 8 nanometer Snapdragon 720G chip, while the Redmi Note 9 usually adopts Mediatek chips, the 12 nanometer chip Helio G85.

Xiaomi is rumored to be launching these two smartphones very soon in the future.
