xQc faces criticism from Pokimane and H3H3 following DMCA counterclaim

Following announcing his plans to counterclaim the DMCA strike, popular variety streamer xQc has been under fire from the likes of Pokimane and H3H3.

xQc was handed a DMCA strike after he re-broadcasted clips from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Despite claiming to have taken all the necessary precautions, he was put on a hiatus which was unfair according to him. To address this issue, the Canadian announced to take legal action against the strike.

Video Game Attorney aka Ryan Morrison who happens to be xQc’s lawyer provided some depth on the situation. He explained the risk that a counterclaim carries via Twitter which did not sit right with his fellow streamers.

H3H3 being someone who came out on top in a similar case felt that xQc’s lawyer is afraid to go forward with the lawsuit which is why he is skeptical in filing one thereby setting him for an unfortunate failure.

Pokimane as a veteran had her own views where she believes that there is a conflict of interest, which is why Morrison is shying away from a lawsuit. According to her, Morrison isn’t just xQc’s attorney but his agent too which is why he may avoid prolonging the lawsuit for his personal interest.
