Famous YouTubers belonging to PUBG Mobile community in India have used racial slurs while commenting on the stand taken by Indian politician Ninong Ering on the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Both of them referred to Mr. Ering as “Chinese” and it has sparked massive outrage yet again.
Ninong Ering, the current MLA of Pasighat West, Arunachal Pradesh, took a stand against the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India. He presented a letter to PM Modi while urging him to restrict the launch of Krafton’s new title, Battlegrounds Mobile India. According to Mr. Ering, this new game is just a tweaked version of PUBG Mobile and it still has connections with Chinese gaming giant Tencent.
Some influential personalities within PUBG Mobile community responded on it but some crossed a line while addressing Mr. Ering. Recently, a YouTuber named Paras Official used racist terms against Mr. Ering and Arunachal Pradesh. This received a lot of criticism from a large population.
Paras Singh immediately posted an apology video but still, legal action is being taken against him. Mr. Ering was also going to file a complaint against Paras at Pasighat Police Station and Crime Branch. Apparently, more than one YouTuber has used racial slurs.
A YouTuber called Lenzing Weekly recently posted a video with clips showing that GTX Preet and 420 Gaming have used such terms as well. Both of them are massive YouTubers within PUBG Mobile community where Preet focuses on in-game content and 420 Gaming is a professional athelete.
GTX Preet called Mr. Ering as Chinese on the basis of his looks and 420 Gaming did t he same while talking about Mr. Ering’s name. These comments have brought GTX Preet and 420 Gaming into limelight and a similar course of action could be taken against them as well.
