PUBG Mobile India has been making headlines in the last few days with several major developments which imply that the game is on the verge of its official launch in the country. PUBG Mobile has been out of the limelight for a long time and it seems like they are planning for a huge comeback.
Krafton promised a localized version of PUBG Mobile for its Indian fans when the game was banned in September 2020. The promise was followed through when an official announcement confirmed that PUBG Mobile India was under development. A regional office under the name of ‘PUBG India Pvt. Ltd.’ was also registered in India but the game was never launched.
PUBG Mobile India was delayed because the IT Ministry of India did not approve its launch. After creating a lot of hype, the game was not released at the end of 2020 and since then, no official statements regarding the launch date were published. Krafton representative did assure the fan base by confirming that the company is actively working with officials to bring back the game.
Recently, PUBG Mobile India was back in limelight after a mishap where four trailer clips were uploaded on the official YouTube channel and were made private within few minutes. These clips were short segments of the old PUBG Mobile India trailer split into four parts.
A report also stated the possibility that PUBG Mobile India could be renamed and a discord announcement confirmed this change. PUBG Mobile India will now be recognized as Battlegrounds Mobile India and the social media handles have already been updated accordingly.
These changes could lead to the conclusion that PUBG Mobile India is preparing for its full-scale launch very soon with a new name. This speculation is only backed by the recent changes and no official confirmation has been released yet.
