The much-awaited boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been rescheduled because of Tyson’s health issues as a new date for the fight will be revealed as early as next week, according to Netflix.
Tyson holds the record for the world’s youngest boxer to win a heavyweight championship. He had his final professional fight in 2005 which raised concerns regarding his fitness before the fight, especially against Jake Paul, although is he far from the legend status, he is a boxer in his prime.
“I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time,” Tyson said. “Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flare-up, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover,” he added.
My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake—when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish,” said Jake Paul.
Netflix has promised a revised date for the fight as soon as next week so make sure to keep a tab on their socials and mark your calendars as soon as a date is revealed.
