Manchester United pulled off the impossible by beating Manchester City to win the FA Cup on 25th May. Suffice it to say, a major upset like that calls for a party for the team coming out ahead but the guest list for the same has caused a commotion within the club.
Popular content creator IShowSpeed could be seen with the players celebrating their big win at the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair on May 25. Speed was seen in his Instagram post with Manchester United players Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Marcus Rasford, and even the coach Eric Ten Haag.
While a party is quite natural after a big win, Manchester United’s staff were left displeased as their names did not make it to the guest list while an influencer was among the attendees.
“In the latest example of growing unrest among United’s employees, sources said staff were aggrieved at the presence of the 19-year-old who was seen partying with United’s players while they were unable to celebrate the triumph at Wembley as they were not invited,” reads a report by Mail Online.
While it is a common tradition in football that the players, coaches, technical and non-technical staff of a team celebrate together after a big win players choosing to leave the staff behind speaks to the culture of the team and sends an unimpressive message to the fans.
