Nadeshot to Undergo Eye Surgery for Pellucid Marginal Degeneration

Overcoming Vision Challenges: Nadeshot's Journey with PMD

Popular streamer and former professional Call of Duty player Nadeshot has recently announced that he requires eye surgery due to a condition called Pellucid Marginal Degeneration (PMD). He had been complaining about troubles with his vision for months, particularly while playing Valorant on his Twitch channel.

Founder of the 100 Thieves, Nadeshot has always been enthusiastic about Valorant but has had to endure a number of hassles concerning being unable to see opponents during gameplay. He has tried various solutions – changing the monitor he buys and setting his system differently, but nothing seems to crack the problem that tormented him with his vision.

If you watch the stream, I’ve been consistently complaining about not being able to see well. It led me down a dark path of buying different OLED monitors, trying to play in 1440p, putting the monitor as close to my face as I could physically possibly get it.”

Following advice by optometrists, Nadeshot was found with PMD – a condition that causes bulging thinning of the cornea. That is quite common for men within the age range of 20 to 40 years.

“It’s all types of f**ked up. I need to get a procedure called crosslinking, they put vitamins in my eye, and they harden it with UV,” Nadeshot said via a post on X/Twitter

Nadeshot also related that he will probably have to wear “hard contacts” for the rest of his life. He joked about the situation by jokingly saying he’s “legally blind,” but it should be noted that PMD does not cause blindness; indeed, it causes blurry vision and is a progressively worsening condition if left unchecked.
